Plein Air the Future, Zuccotti Park, 2017

For the Works on Water Triennial, I created a large drawing in front of the lunch-going public in Zuccotti Park.  The drawing is a map that compares the Hurricane Sandy Flood lines with the 1609 shoreline of Lower Manhattan before landfill occurred.  The piece was later installed for the closing of the Works on Water Triennial at 3LD Art and Technology Center in Lower Manhattan. For this installation, red enamel painted sea-skate purses are elevated with pins to hover over the map like a futuristic alien army, showing how creatures will inevitably reclaim the flood plain they once inhabited.
